Beth Talbot
Beth Talbot is the Quality Assurance Person at Labo Nova, based in her hometown of Sundre, Alberta. With roots in the cannabis industry dating back to the pre-legal medical market in 2016 and a genuine passion for the plant, she brings hands-on experience across cultivation, processing, and quality systems.
Beth oversees every batch from clone through final release, ensuring regulatory compliance while upholding Labo Nova’s commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and care. Working alongside her partner, Gerrit Richards, Labo Nova’s Master Grower, she plays an integral role in maintaining the consistency and integrity of every batch produced.
For Beth, quality extends beyond compliance—it is a commitment to producing cannabis she can take pride in, rooted in her community.
Gerrit Richards
Gerrit Richards is the Master Grower at Labo Nova Inc. He began his commercial cannabis career in 2017 at Alberta’s first licensed medical cannabis facility and graduated from Olds College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Horticulture. His expertise spans plant science, cannabis expression, integrated pest management, genetics, soil biology, supply chain operations, and regulatory compliance.
His approach combines technical precision with a strong focus on producing clean, reliable, premium craft cannabis for domestic and international partners.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Gerrit’s unique upbringing and personal experience with Type 1 diabetes inspired his interest in medicinal cannabis and shaped his perspective on cultivation. Today, he remains driven by quality, curiosity, and innovation, advancing the industry through thoughtful cultivation practices and end-user-focused production.
